Reverend Nancy Hiscoe Clark, an ordained and licensed Unity minister since 1992, offers her services through her non profit ministry, Sacred Nature. The idea that all nature is sacred—all creation and our own essential nature is an expression of the divinehas informed Nancy's spiritual journey and work.

She embraces a universal perspective to her spiritual journeythere are as many ways to see the divine as there are facets to a diamond. With respect for all paths to Truth, Nancy's work is more about the wisdom within all creation than the teachings of any one tradition. She is a student of world religions and wisdom traditions and draws from them all in her work.

Reverend Clark moved to Asheville in 1999 to deepen her connection with the sacred nature of all life by living in the lush mountains of North Carolina. Here, she has started Unity Café, a gathering place for people to share their spiritual journey. She offers personal and spiritual counseling which honors the mind, body, and Spirit of each person. She performs weddings and other sacred ceremonies, and teaches meditation. She also leads retreats all around the country on a variety of spiritual and personal growth topics.

Before moving to Asheville, Nancy lived in Kansas City, MO and worked at Unity School of Christianity for seven years. First, she served there as the Service Specialist for the Primary Path, a position where she was charged with publishing and promoting 'the depth and breadth of Unity teachings." Then she was promoted to Senior Director of Outreach, responsible for developing and marketing all books, tapes, Unity Magazine, retreats, and other outreach services. After three years in this capacity, she chose to devote herself more actively to ministry activities and joined the adjunct faculty as an instructor in the Continuing Education Program, teaching a wide variety of classes exploring the historical Jesus, the goddess tradition, prayer and meditation, metaphysics, world religions, Unity and new thought history and more. During this time she also served in the Unity Village Retreat Department and presented retreats to people from all over the nation and world.

During this time she also served on the Board of Unity Temple on the Plaza and was the international spokesperson for Prayers for Peace led by Marianne Williamson.

Prior to her ministerial studies, Nancy was the director and vice president of marketing, public relations, and planning at several hospitals in the mid west. She has her bachelor's and master's degrees in Communication Arts from Michigan State University.

One of the ways Nancy celebrates the sacred nature in all creation is through her love of animals. She has two Yorkshire terriers, Nubi and Zoe, who are bring laughter and joy into every moment of the day. From the very small to the very large, she also has an amazing horse, Takhi (which means 'Spirit' in Mongolian) who is her guru and teacher.

Nancy lives with her husband of 15 years, Rick, who is a health care consultant to hospitals. Both have found that relationship takes commitment, consciousness, self-exploration, and love. And, they have found that their partnership just keeps getting better! They are truly partners in life, ministry, and love. Rick brings to the family two delightful and very special children, Robin and her husband Dallas, and his son John. Three fantastic grandchildren fill out the family, Riley, Delaney, and Braeden.
